New York based artist Carol Bove makes elegant, enigmatic and evocative works that often take the form of sculptural assemblages. Using a diverse range of found materials including shelves, books, steel, driftwood, peacock feathers, concrete, brass, antique coral, and for this edition, peanuts, she creates intriguing sculptures and sculptural environments that play with history, materiality, and scale.

Bove has exhibited extensively in Europe and the Americas, including solo exhibitions at the Tate St. Ives, the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, the Kunsthalle Zürich and Boston‘s Institute of Contemporary Art as well as the Kunstverein Hamburg. Her work has been included in exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of Art, The New Museum as well as The Museum of Modern Art. Bove has most recently co-curated a version of Specific Objects Without Specific Form, a traveling Felix Gonzalez-Torres retrospective at the Beyeler Foundation. Bove lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
